EFR Course Overview
The Emergency First Response (EFR) course teaches the critical skills needed to respond to medical emergencies with confidence. This internationally recognized program focuses on primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid), giving participants the knowledge and hands-on practice to assist in a wide range of emergency situations.
Through realistic scenarios and skill development, you’ll learn how to assess a scene, manage life-threatening conditions, provide CPR, use an AED, and care for injuries and illnesses until professional help arrives.
No prior medical training or diving experience is required—this course is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared to help others in an emergency.
What You’ll Learn
Scene assessment and emergency response priorities
CPR for adults, children, and infants
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Managing choking emergencies
First aid for injuries (bleeding, fractures, burns)
Care for illnesses (shock, stroke, diabetic emergencies, etc.)
Why Take This Course
EFR training builds confidence, preparedness, and the ability to act when it matters most. It’s also a prerequisite for many PADI professional-level courses, including Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
