Before earning the rating, you will need a strong foundation of training, logged experience, and readiness for continued growth.

Training path

Core Certifications + 5 Specialties

Start with PADI Open Water Diver, then PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver, or qualifying certifications. You also need five PADI Specialty Diver certifications.
