I first discovered Waterlust while searching for a sun suit before a dive trip to Florida in 2022. What started with a Whale Shark Sun Suit quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Today, you'll rarely see me wearing anything else under my wetsuit. During a recent conversation with founder Patrick Rynne, I learned that Waterlust was never intended to be an apparel company at all. Instead, it began as a creative experiment in science communication and has grown into a brand that connects people to ocean conservation through art, education, and community. This is the story behind one of my favorite companies and why Waterlust is so much more than a rash guard.
